چکیده

Background: Diabetic foot infection (DFI) is an in soft tissue or bone patient with diabetes mellitus, Citrobacter species are infrequent nosocomial pathogens and cause a range of infections. the aim current study we report isolation carbapenem genes among isolated from DFI. Methods: about 111 swabs specimen were collection suspected DFI during period study, determine antibiotic susceptibility spp isolates by using Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method to 23 antimicrobial agents according CLSI (2021). Molecular detection for MBL multiplex PCR. Results: had represented 3 (4.34%) Gram-negative bacteria. Antibiotic test revealed that one isolate braakii was MDR other PDR. The PCR data frequency as following blaVIM, blaNDM, blaSIM 100%. Conclusion: show appear PDR carry (blaVIM, blaNDM,, blaSIM) where dissemination NDM producing considered first reported Iraq.

New Delhi Metallo-Beta-Lactamase (NDM-1)-Producing Klebsiella Pneumoniae Isolated from a Burned Patient

BACKGROUND Infections affecting burn patients are frequently caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacteriaceae species. Infections with these pathogens have become increasingly difficult to treat due to evolving antibiotic resistance mechanisms, including the production of carbapenemases. CASE REPORT The present case report describes the evolution of a burn patient...

First case of New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase 1-producing Escherichia coli infection in Japan.

To the Editor—Emergence of multidrug-resistant organisms is a threat to public health, because there is limited effort devoted to the development of new antibiotics [1]. Multiple new mechanisms of resistance have been described recently, including a new type of carbapenem resistance gene, blaNDM-1, reported in 2009 [2]. Infections due to strains with blaNDM-1 have been reported in India, Pakist...

NDM-1 (New Delhi metallo beta lactamase-1) producing Gram-negative bacilli: Emergence & clinical implications

UNLABELLED BACKGOUND & OBJECTIVES: Resistance to carbapenems in Gram-negative bacteria conferred by NDM-1 is a global health problem. We investigated the occurrence of NDM-1 in clinical isolates of Gram-negative bacilli in a tertiary care hospital in Kashmir valley, India. METHODS Gram-negative bacilli from different clinical isolates were included in the study. Antimicrobial susceptibility w...

New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase-1-producing Acinetobacter spp. infection: report of a survivor.

New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase-1 (NDM-1) is a bacterial enzyme that renders the bacteria resistant to a variety of beta-lactam antibiotics. A 20-year-old man was hospitalized several times for surgical treatment and complications caused by a right-sided vestibular schwannoma. Although the patient acquired several multidrug-resistant infections, this study focuses on the NDM-1-producing Acinet...

Draft Genome Sequence of the First New Delhi Metallo-β-Lactamase (NDM-1)-Producing Escherichia coli Strain Isolated in Peru

We present here the draft genome sequence of the first New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase (NDM-1)-producing Escherichia coli strain, belonging to sequence type 155 (ST155), isolated in Peru. Assembly of this draft genome resulted in 5,061,184 bp, revealing a clinically significant resistome for β-lactams, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, phenicols, sulfonamides, trimethoprim, and fluoroquinolones.
